Comments: Single cam on the balcony stage right. A bit shaky (just minor shakes for the most part but really bad for Snow blind and 2 young 2 die) but overall the shooting is good. The filmer hides the camera at the end of Trouble walkin’ and briefly in New York groove. Quality is high-gen VHS: colors are almost non-existant, it’s blurry and “streaked” like VHS gets after a few gens. Unfortunately the screens are representative. Audio is low on bass and a bit noisy but OK. Check out the awesomely nerdy fan in glasses that rushes the stage during Shock me.

Comments: The new Anthology series compiled by Sagafoo and authored by Sullyland. Clips are in general high quality, roughly what we’ve seen in circulation lately. The rehearsal footage is a little sharper than I remember seeing it before. The Tokyo clips are not from the HBO upgrade but rather from one of the unedited shows so the quality isn’t the super quality we’ve become accustomed to. Audio is generally good but a bitoff in places.

Although this is mainly stuff that’s been around in trading circles a long time the quality on this comp. is outstanding, especially with the remastered audio. The screenshots tell the story, especially the bottom four which are from the Anaheim show.

Comments: Part 3 in the Anthology series compiled by Sagafoo and authored by Sullyland. Fairly good quality for most of the clips (although I seem to remember Super Max Kinkel and the People’s Choice Awards being better on previous DVD collections) and Paul Lynde’s Halloween special is extraordinary. The audio remastering seems to be simple compression and in some cases the original audio (also on the disc) sounds better. Better song/track selection on the live footage and, of course, the always-present Saga favourite.
